Waterbuck - Kobus ellipsiprymnus
As their name suggest we usually found them near water
Did You Know?
The waterbuck (Kobus ellipsiprymnus) has a long-haired, often shaggy brown-gray coat that emits a smelly, greasy secretion thought to be for waterproofing which can cause .an unpleasant odor in its meat, unless the animal is skinned carefully, they are also considered undesirable to predators. According to African myth, the meat of the waterbuck is not edible, but this is untrue; whilst not especially tasty, waterbuck venison is safe to eat. Only the males have horns, which can grow as long as 40 inches. The horns are widely spaced and curve gracefully back and up.
